Napa Valley Wine Train Review!

By travelanswerman | October 28, 2010

Napa Valley continues to draw visitors day in and out to her world reknown vineyards, especially during Fall harvest. Indeed, it should not be surprising that Napa Valley is one of the most popular travel destinations in the world, hosting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually. Whether seen for the first time or the 20th time, the area never leaves you, and it becomes an on-going love affair for the majority of us. The scenic beauty is breathtaking!

A memorable way to experience the diversity of the valley is to sit back and relax on the Napa Valley Wine Train. It combines the historical ambience from inside a vintage rail car from the past with the best culinary creations and service you would expect from any elegant restaurant in California. Oh, I should not forget to add they offer an outstanding selection of Napa Valley’s finest wines including some hard-to-find ones. Cheers!

The amazing atmosphere,  gourmet cuisine and spectacular valley views passing by would be more than rewarding for even the most savvy traveler, but recently a new dimension was added which is sure to please the most demanding wine connoisseur!

A new 90-minute excursion (Valley First Tour) and wine tasting that takes guests up the East side of the valley and into a behind-the-scenes look at a family winery called Raymond Vineyards. It is an excellent technical tour that begins with an introduction to Raymond’s history and organic farming practices. Truly an oenophile’s delight!

We were so fortunate to have as our guide Essey Jensen. Her expert knowledge of the product and history of  Raymond Vineyards reminded me as a former guide the importance of a company’s representation. Fortunately, Raymond Vineyards has a proven winner with her giftedness and public relation skills!

Fall harvest in the vineyards is already marked on my calendar for next year. All aboard!
