Fodor's Caribbean 2010 guide book review

By travelanswerman | March 16, 2010

This formidable guide book has packed a tremendous amount of value within its 1110 plus pages. As with all Fodor’s guide books, it has delivered what the traveler has demanded in an easy to read style.

Each of the 26 major islands has separate sections highlighting the most important features offered at the destination. These include: a general welcome, island planner, exploring section, beaches, where to eat, where to stay, nightlife, shopping, sports and the outdoors, along with essentials.

It covers a wide variety of interests, budgets and tastes allowing the individual mutiple options to pick from when finalizing their plans.

Of course, you can expect to be well covered by more than 55 detailed maps focusing on each island.

To help you decide which island is best for you, they have rated each one in several areas that might influence your decision on choosing the perfect Caribbean vacation spot.

Everybody has an opinion and I greatly appreciate the expert advice Fodor’s can always be counted on to provide the novice traveler. They even make recommendations for their favorite beaches, favorite boating & sailing waters, diving & snorkeling destinations and where to go for nightlife.
