Canada Travel

By travelanswerman | January 18, 2010

The raw beauty of Canada means a variety of things to all of us. To the weathered fisherman on both coasts it’s the short stretch of shoreline where they sail frequently hoping for that special catch that will provide a big check for the family.

To the tourist who visits the western mountains in Banff National Park,  it’s the towering spires called appropriately the Canadian Rockies, soaring above amazing valleys, and clear streams. Where every second, facing in any direction is a photographic moment worthy of a blue ribbon at the next county fair. Every photographer becomes a potential professional.

To the citizen in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Victoria or Vancouver it’s the week-end drives, or the lake country where time is spent on vacation. Maybe a visit to the world famous Edmonton Mall for a shopping bonanza might be in store for those lucky enough to live in this community of gift buying opportunities!

To the hardy men who cut lumber in northeast sections of the country or the rugged mountains of British Columbia it’s scenery that seems endless with natural resource potential. They think of heavy snow in winter, wildlife year round, the smell of fresh-cut spruce and fir, extraordinary autumn colors on the hillsides. Nature exposing its true glory 24/7!

But no matter where they are or what they do, the people who pause to look around them are looking at scenery which owes most of its peculiarities to the rocks that underlie it and the particular tools that nature has used to sculpture the land.

Make 2010 the year you visit Canada! It truly is a land of spectacular beauty and extraordinary wonder…from coast to coast…to the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies…from the trout filled rivers…to the golden central prairies.
