There's some great boutique hotels in bogota that are far more interesting. And why give your money to Paris Hilton? Medellin is a far better city to visit than Bogota anyway... I'm going to Italy this year and I'd recommend you readers have a look at a good website www.monasterystays.com ( I'll nominate it for travel website of the year in 2009) This service allows you to book lodgings in monasteries and convents all over Italy in one go. The places look good (obviously not 5 star) but safe , secure, convenient and reasonably priced. I'd recommend checking it out. Great article- So many places to see so little time.
